CHYNA BAEJING X BONEWESO – “GAMEOFBONES” ft. Estee Nack

Nacky Chan has been a reliable co-sign over the years, generous with his resources and always on point with his taste. Chyna Baejing is another Lynn local who made her mark in ’23 with FORTY INCHEZ AND A MULE, a scrappy debut that established her as a fully-formed rap persona.

No budget is big enough to fake talent, so if that project was rough around the edges, it only served to emphasize how potent the performances were. She has a clear, cutting voice and a real gift for creative flow patterns. (The cover art was also world class goods.)

Such excellence did not go ignored. A year later, she was cutting sessions at the legendary Minimansion for THE NINTH WONDER, which was a serious level up thanks to the Mr. Rose treatment. Now that team is back to hype BAEJING BALLAD, an even more grandiose & psychedelic slab of raw rap shit.

Her caps lock aesthetic fits her bar game, which is the same kind of wildstyle maximalism that Nack Mandela perfected with Al.Divino. Like them, she is also genuinely & sardonically funny. There are a lot of great punchlines buried in those metralleta flows. For jaded listeners with hungry brains, she is a joy to listen to.

I have not always been sold on BoneWeso beats but that seems to be changing: I think everything I’ve heard from him in the past year has been more or less pure fire. “GAMEOFBONES” is no exception, a wild-ass prog rock pocket that somehow floats and cooks at the same time.

The whole 23 Incredible Industries orbit continues to deliver exceptional product at a prolific pace. This was front to back flames from a team that has their recipes perfected. Lynn stays eating Boston’s lunch. Four Dickies.
